LUTH admitt four coronavirus pattients few hours after inaguration

A couple of hours after the initiation of a 60-bed isolation centre for Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, says it has admitted four patients with the infection.

Prof. Wasiu Adeyemo, the LUTH Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, uncovered this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Lagos.

As per him, they are three grown-ups and one kid. "They are a part of those effectively confirmed, however remaining at home. Presently they are under aadmission.

"They are steady and doing quite well," Adeyemo told NAN.

NAN reviews that the 60-bed isolation place for COVID-19 patients was introduced by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 drove by Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Dr Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health.

Prof. Chris Bode, the Chief Medical Director of LUTH, had told newsmen not long after the initiation that "It is better for us to rise to the event.

With the assistance and help of the pastor and Lagos government, we have had the option to assemble a block of four wards containing 60 beds by and large with enough close to home defensive hardware and all what we need."

Bode said that admission would in any case be done through the pyramid structure and the clinic would be working under the order of Lagos State government.

"We have a crew of 120 members of staffs, all warriors to battle this condition in LUTH.

”They have all been trained and are experts,” the chief medical director said.
